As Mordecai begins to get closer to the Demon's he has been following, he notices 3 men charging full sprint directly at him and his minions with weapons drawn. As he tells his "children to take a defensive stance, The Necro-knight pulls his arm back and prepares to throw his shield at one of the three men charging him. In an attempt for immediate decapitation.

Remasis managed to get into the temple, but upon looking out the door he sees that the number of troops he has is dwindiling. "We must take as many sacred artifacts as possible!" he shouts at his few remaning men. After taking as many artifacts as they could the Primordials begin to flee the temple hoping to live through the retreat.

"As far as the Orb goes, I apologize, but we can not relinquish it, it is my duty to retrieve it." Stratus told Leinosus with a cold gaze.
"My men are already on their way to retrieve it, but we do require to move these fools out of our way. You seemed the most sensible, so we spoke to you. We will fight along side you, but if my men retrieve the orb first, it's fair game far as I'm concerned." Stratus continued.
"The orb aside, it seems that we could both use some help. So I am willing to fight along side you, but whence it is over, whether we stand as allies or enemies is all up to you." Stratus finished. He felt uneasy at whether or not the this alignment was a good tactical choice, but it didn't matter. He knew the east company was closing in on the temple, so he simply needed to survive the ordeal, for if he did, he felt he was almost assured a successful mission.
"So what do you say, Leinosus? If you do not accept I will simply turn elsewhere, but I'd rather compete with you at the end of this rather then the damned Primordials or those power-lusting demons. The choice is yours."

The three men charging the knight faced immediate casualty. The man in the middle instantly drops to the ground, his head off; leaving the two men running but, now slightly with a bit of fear. They begin taking out his men fighting their way closer to him yet losing their strength fighting all his undead. They can no longer stand being outnumbered they were then surrounded and killed by the undead.
Beldr was finishing off the Primordials, but a number of the Shamans escaped, including Remisis. He then walked in towards the artifacts but, was then interrupted by a worried demon "Sir, there are what seems like Fabrillian scouts attacking the entrance and they are causing critical casualties." "Ugh..." Beldr grimmaced. "Call in the Dreydvauntr. We'll grab the Orb and port out. Have a cruiser come grab us at the back end of the Temple." "Yes sir!" the demon exclaims, immediately signaling the Demon Flagship.
He heads deeper into the temple searching for the orb...

A silence hangs after Stratus' last words, clearly forming a quite uneasy tension between the group. A long moment passed where Leinosus and Stratus exchanged glares; Leinosus, whose eyes glowed with Aura, Stratus, cold and calculating.
"I am sorry to hear that Stratus..." Leinosus begins, to which his men draw their arms, but he beckons for them to lower their weapons. "We will part ways here, as allies. But when I see you again, it may not be so. Like you said, once the Demons are out of the picture, the orb is fair game."
With that, the Angels bound into the air upon their wings of light. Landing near the mouth of the temple, Leinosus sees the Demons being harried by mostly covered Fabrilian troops and takes this as a cue to attack. As he engages the remaining ground force, they are able to get a large advantage on the Demons.
In the midst of combat, Leinosus spots the mercenary surrounded by shambling troops, and immediately becomes enraged upon seeing his dead Holy Guard among the undead squad. He quickly flies over and yells at the Knight:
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!? You will NOT use my friend as a puppet for your twisted Necromancy!"

With his cold lifeless eyes Mordecai glares at Leinosus... and calmly but coldy states his mind, "Lest you want me to desecrate your Angelic forces as I did those Demons, He serves me better as this corpse than he served you as an "almighty" Angel. He died the death of a coward... with his back turned..... I am giving him purpose once again" Mordecai turns and leaves to continue fighting with his horde, leaving Leinosus speachless..

"East company, What is your position?" Stratus Barked into his Com-link.
"We're trailing a demon in the temple as we speak sir!" The leader of the East Platoon beckoned back.
"Carry on!" Stratus replied in the mic, "That's good," He thought to himself. He knew that as long as the Demons led them down the correct path, it would be a much easier mission for him.
He sighed as he was finally confronted on the battlefield by a Demon, of which he Shot his rifle, aiming the fiend's heart.

"RRRAAAGH!!" Leinosus yells, bounding toward his former Holy Guard and slicing him in two, the wound seared shut by the plasma film of his broadsword. He would much prefer his friend to die by his own hand rather than see him made into a lifeless husk. Mordecai turns back to regard him.
"You have no RIGHT to speak to me like that, Necromancer! Your contract is hereby terminated!"
The rest of the Captain's Holy Guard land next to him, engaging the undead horde. Leinosus takes Mordecai on himself, letting loose an unrelenting flurry of attacks.
(Rather than resolve that later with my own post, I just will here: Mordecai, you do not sustain an injury but are phased, meaning you are less effective during your next post.)

In the plain, the battle still raged. The Fabrillian team entered the fray, Stratus easily taking out his mark. However, Demon reinforcements summon around him and attack the unsuspected. A few die but, a good amount of demons fall with them. Stratus begins to worry about the integrity of his squad.
As Beldr draws near the orb he can feel his aura start to uneven. He can hear behind him what is most likely a group of troops so he starts to hurry with his men. They arrive at an altar in a room with earthen ground, the pedestal glowing a vibrant gold color. Beldr walks near and secures the orb but, hears guns draw behind him.
"Halt Demon!" The Fabrilian troops, about 15 strong, stare down their rifles at the slightly larger force of Demons. "Give us the orb now, or we'll open fire!"
A flurry of combat erupted, demons flailing their claws and blades while laser and lead rained. Quickly assessing the situation, Beldr opens a dark portal and steps out, only just avoiding a frag grenade aimed to stop him. The Fabrilians quickly clean up the small squad with minimal casualties, but Beldr has gotten away.
Outside, a terrifying thing comes into veiw from the plain: The Dreydvauntr, one of the Demons Flagships, flies down from the clouded sky towards the back of the temple...

Infuriated by Leinosus' frivolous course of action, Mordecai is overcome by rage and attempts to use a Necro-Shout, so as to prone the enemy and increase the resilience of his undead companions.

In a fury, Mordecai overcharges his Aura and successfully uses the powerful Necro-Shout, forcing Leinosus to his knees and raising the strength of his undead retinue. A truly risky act, the knight just barely was able to hold onto consciousness as he suffered the effects of Aura overdraw. Mordecai fell to his knees as well, and the undead began to assault the Holy Guard. Normally easy prey for the Angels, the Guard struggled to keep their Captain safe against the undead.
In the midst of the battle, Leinosus hears a gut-wrenching sound: the booming engines of the Demon's flagship, parting the clouds and heading for the temple. Damn. They had failed.
He looked back and saw his Holy Guard falling to the undead, only three left standing. The Necromancer didn't move from his crouched position, coldly staring down Leinosus. As the remaining angels landed back by his side, Leinosus issues the retreat order and falls back with his remaining Holy Guard. One thing was for sure: Sir Mordecai the Necro-Knight would be at the top of the Angel's wanted list for what he had done.
(As Leinosus departs, the last of Mordecai's energy fades and he collapses on the battlefield.)

"East Company, Status Report!" Stratus barked into the Com-Link.
"The Demon took the orb and got away, sir." An uneasy voice reported back into the mic.
"DAMN IT ALL!" Stratus screamed back into the mic. "What's the current situation looking like?"
"A few casualties sir, but other then that, no serious damage."
"Very Well...," Stratus sighed. "Take their bodies back with you, they can still be used. Lets fall back men." Stratus made his final order, knowing his mission had failed.
