Name: Xaer
Race: Abyssial
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Faction Information: Unaligned Seraphics - Wanted for arson, murder, mass homicide, breaching of the peace, conspiracy, and treason. Demons - Highly volatile relations with the demons. Has helped and been helped by them, but is often found fighting them. Feratics - Wanted for Siethean warrants of murder, mass homicide, desertion in a time of war, and treason. Primordials - Neutral affiliation with the Primordials. He combats them on few occasions, but the same can be said for his aiding their endeavors.
Background: One hundred years ago, Xaer was a decorated leader of a contingent of Abyssial soldiers during their war with the Sseshvek as well as Prince of the Amanei House. During a campaign, he mysteriously vanished from the battlefield without a trace. Fifty years ago he reappeared on the coast of Siethe in an archaic longboat. Nobody knows what happened to him over those fifty years, but what is known is that his very being was twisted into something new. Witnesses to his fighting have noted his peculiar form of combat, something totally unknown to Bastionites, and a feeling of anxiety just by being around him. Some old rumors said that he was taken to Uncivil Bastion, but there being little to no people who have returned from there, many people do not believe this story. There was one witness who recounted Xaer causing a mage to wither and die by 'biting' into his face. However, this was dismissed as the ravings of the traumatized. Over the past fifty years, Xaer has kept generally quiet. Rumors stopped being spread a little over a decade after his return, so he was finally able to seep into the shadows to spectate Bastion from outside society.
Personality: Xaer trusts very few people, expecting them to be under-handed. He has a cold demeanor and has been said to be rude by those who have encountered him. He holds no remorse for his actions and fears few things. Although she does not know it, Xaer is in love with Zephyr.
Appearance: Regular, shadow-like metaphysiology present with all Abyssials. His aura is cyan in coloration, shown by his eyes and his disfigurement. He has short-to-medium hair and stands at about six feet in height with the physique granted by centuries of combat and discipline.
Goals: Survival and further honing of his skills.
Magical Inclination: High
Technological Inclination: Low
Known Magical Doctrines and Foci: Dimensionism - Reality Warping
Equipment: Xaer wears fur-lined Olfeiren leather armor, boots, gloves, and a similar cloak. He wields two specially crafted Gherdik kamas and has a leather belt slung around his waist with a medium satchel attached, bearing an Iltaeren seal.
Items not on your person:
Credits: Never carries credits, prefers to barter.

Name: Ellie Saunterbride Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 20 Faction Information: + Feratics - Primordial - Demonic Neutral Seraphic Background: When those in the Fabrilian Military think of a Technomancer, the first person that comes to their mind is Ellie Saunterbride. Born to a family of more traditional mages, Ellie has loved gadgets and computers since she was a little girl. When she was 17, a mentor of hers introduced her to Alchemy. Determined to train herself in this doctrine, she left home to Ille'ren where her parents would pay for the best education. As it turned out, the most prestigious schools didn't quite fit Ellie. Their rigid rules and power-waving authority always made her dislike them. She began to switch between academies trying to find the right one; however this didn't last for long. One night, at a high-ranked academy in a city near the ocean, Ellie became enraged with the High Alchemist. He had suspended her for making cyber-modifications on one of her class mates: when he had asked her to replace his eyes with optical senors! It was the last straw, and Ellie tapped into the electrical grid with her Aura and made the whole town dark, laughing as an incoming airship plowed straight into the academy. From that point on, Ellie taught herself. She met up with her mentor again, the one who had taught her about Alchemy. His name was Tatilus, a Fabrilian who was handy with his Aura; a rare thing for their kind. She began to learn with him again, but Ellie had already far surpassed Tatilus' skill. He told her that he wanted to join the Fabrilian Military and do something about the warring factions. This sparked Ellie's interest and she convinced him to join, taking her along as well. From that point she learned what she could from the Fabrilian Alchemists, though she still greatly outclassed them. Now, Ellie is seen as one of the Military's most viable assets. Personality: Ellie is bubbly with her friends, deadly serious and battle, and furious toward her enemies, making her once very mixed bag. She likes traditional human food and reading manga. She hates cruel people and Primordials. Appearance: Picture Attached- Sideshot, to show outfit & sniper (note it is more tech-y). Goals: Help bring and end to the Faction war however possible. Destroy/bring a stop to the Primordial Faction. Find Tatilus. Magical Inclination: High Technological Inclination: High Battle Tactics: Very stealthy and prone to stay in long ranged combat. Quite intelligent, able to analyze situations in a fraction of a second. She works best when employing hit-and-run type tactics. While she is not a pushover in melee, it is her weakest suit as she isn't exceedingly strong. Known Magical Doctrines and Foci: Alchemy- Mental Magic and Technomancy. Equipment:Enchanced Sensory Implants, Enchanced Reflex Implants, Aura Bypass Field (enemies near her have trouble resisting her magic), Scylia Arm Terminal (amplifies aura and supplies hacking programs), Prismatic shielding and light combat suit, Heat radar and Targeter (50' around her for radar), Heavily customized Mk VI Beam Sniper w/Heat sink and recoil dampener, .50 cal pistol with laser sight, 2-3 shield drones. Items not on your person: Owns a house in Feratus. Has a room filled with guns that she likes to tinker with and occasionally take out for a whirl. The house also contains its own private server and terminal network, as well as a lab fitted with cutting-edge technology. Attachments:

Name: Randolph Harrazar.
Race: Human
Gender: So, if you weren’t aware, Randolph is a dude’s name.
Age: 45
Faction Information: Unaligned.
Background:
Like many interesting personalities, Randolph was completely unremarkable as a child. Nobody’s quite sure where he picked up his bizarre mannerisms, but everyone knows about them. Randolph is an accomplished writer- his favorite writing subject is just random people he meets on the street, and studying their varied mannerisms. (He also occasionally writes thrillers.) He almost seems omniscient in his bizarre capability to seemingly jump from area to area- he’ll be out almost like a snap.
Personality:
If there is one thing Randolph has, it’s a flair for the dramatic. Bombastic, sweeping gestures are everywhere with this guy, and his bizarre, slightly archaic speaking style only adds to the notion. Randolph always appears happy to meet new people, and is very interested in learning all he can about other people. He is also rather a philanthropist, and tends to give most of the earnings from his writing to anyone in need.
Appearance: Randolph is a rather muscular guy, who almost never shaves, so he’s got rather large facial hair. His hair is brown, I feel I should mention. His wardrobe is never the most coordinated thing in the world- he is absurdly fond of hats, and I do mean bizarre hats of a wide range when I say that. His outfits are about as haphazard as a goodwill bin, which rather adds to his je ne sais quoi.
Magical Inclination: High
Technological Inclination: Average
Known Magical Doctrines and Foci: Shamanism - Enchanting
Equipment: He carries large amounts of paper and a number of pens with him in a large sack. Also in the sack are a few swiss army knives and one or two revolvers in case he absolutely needs them rather than just punching people like he usually does when in combat.
Items not on your person: An average house out in somewhere or another. He doesn’t go there too often.

Name: Karen Crissen
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: 31
Faction Information: Unaligned
Background: Karen had a relatively normal childhood (or, at least, nothing of real major importance occurred), and, at around 15 years of age, decided she wanted to carry on the family tradition of amassing as large of a collection of weapons as possible. She didn't leave her parents until a few years later, after her father taught her the importance of being able to defend oneself. She has since discovered that she has the ability to modify the quality of most weapons and equipment, strengthening or weakening them as she desires, though not not both at the same time.
Personality: Karen is generally pleasant to deal with, but prefers to deal with people on her own terms (that is, she is more comfortable with inviting others into her "personal space" than having someone just pop in). She tends to be a bit hot-headed and snarky when dealing with those who antagonize/annoy her for more than a minute or so, but only gets into combat situations if she feels she can handle it or if pressed.
Appearance: Karen's lightly-built, Caucasian, about 5'3" in height, with long, extremely dark blue hair and dark green eyes. Her usual attire consists of a dark gray sleeveless shirt under a lighter gray jacket (usually left unbuttoned, the jacket, anyway), khakis, a belt for holding knives and guns, and general-purpose boots.
Goals: Only real goal is to amass as large of a collection of various weapons as she can, being somewhat of a weapons enthusiast.
Magical Inclination: Average
Technological Inclination: Average
Battle Tactics: Take-it-as-it-comes.
Known Magical Doctrines and Foci: Shamanism (Elementalism, Enchanting)
Equipment: Three knives of various sizes, a gun equivalent to a .357, and a gun equivalent to a 9-mm. Plus several spare clips on her person (usually held in pockets on the inside of her jacket, along with one gun and one knife, usually the smallest of each) and whatever her most recent acquisition happens to be, if carrying it is feasible.
Items not on her person: Her dwelling is mostly unremarkable and out of the way, though large enough to accomadate the multitude of weapons she's acquired over the years.

"So that's Nemesis Arch, huh?" Ellie observed from the forested mountain to which one end of the arch connected. She was accompanied by a 3-man Spec. Ops team, each equipped with silenced pistols and a single shield drone.
Ellie and the Spec. Ops team moved toward the Arch from the western side, being as careful as possible to avoid detection. When they arrived, they set up perimeter where the arch meets the mountain. The Spec. Ops team is hidden in their positions, while Ellie is in a tree, using the height and her sniper scope to survey the area.
(It is about 12 PM in game for reference).

Xaer stopped, his last step landing oddly on the root of a tree just beside him, giving him a foothold on the western side of the mountain he was on. Something smells... Delightful..., he thought as he caught the sense of an at-least-decently-powerful aura. It had been a few days since he had last eaten, and so it seemed more appetizing than it would normally have.
Xaer lightly pushed away a branch in his view, allowing him to scope the scenery before him. The eastern part of the arch was lively with flora, though the arch itself was barren. He could sense that his newest victim was on the mountainside west of him, on the other side of the arch. It was not powerful enough for him to pin-point, however, and so he had to be wary. The cyan-eyed Abyssial flicked up his hood and continued forward through the forestry with an air of nonchalance.

Randolph whistled loudly as he strolled atop the stage-right, non-forested end of the arch. He scribbled down atmospheric notes as he walked, such as how salty the air was from the ocean beneath. It was definitely a rather nice day.

Karen walked through the forest on the mountain west of the arch, looking for any signs of life. She really had no reason for being there, other than the prospect of meeting some loony hermit that had interesting weapons on display. It seemed to be a really nice day, and the scenery was nothing, if not breathtaking. She knew nothing of the inhabitants, if indeed there were any, but she was on her guard, just in case.

"Heh, that was quick!" Ellie giggled, seeing the Seraphic drop ship land and take off again, with little care as to whether not they were seen. She scoped in for a better look. "An Ille'ren Merc and two privates out of the drop ship. What's it look like down there?"
"We have a fellow that looks like he's lost on the opposite side," a voice reported through the mic in Ellie's ear. "Just strolling along, writing something or another. Doesn't look threatening."
A different voice broke in: "There's a broad on our side, pretty close. Could be lost as well, but this one's armed to the teeth; I count three knives and two guns."
"Ah, tough choice." Ellie observed. Do I go for the Seraphics, or for the lone woman with an arsenal? After a few ponderous seconds, she made her decision.
"Alright, we're on the move. Head toward the Seraphics but stay in cover. Triangle formation around me. Keep an eye on the wench with all the weapons, but also keep your distance."
The group moved hidden through the forested area, near the middle of the arch. They quickly got a visual of the Seraphic group, as the opponent appeared to care little for stealth. Ellie got into position again, hidden high in a tree, using the more sturdy branches as supports for her sniper.
"Alright, I'm gonna try and scare em' off," Ellie whispered into her headset. "Do not engage until I tell you to. Remain hidden for as long as possible."
With that, Ellie took a deep breath, exhaled, and peered through her scope. Without breathing back in, she fired three plasma rounds in the Seraphic's general area.

The sound of a dropship's engines had alerted Xaer immediately, and caused him to crouch low to the ground. His dark cloak camouflaging him from the view of the crew as they flew away. By the time he stood once more, he picked up a few more auras of note in the area.
He sensed the original aura draw closer to him, but then there were two on his side of the arch already. One of them was stronger than the original, though it seemed that this certain aura had already attracted some attention due to its entrance. He could also sense a few faint auras in the vacinity of the strongest two. It seemed that these two groups were bound to clash with each other.
Then he heard a weapon fire multiple shots. Perfect. An invisible smile crawled onto his face. In the confusion of gunfire, he could take out one of the lesser beings. Though it would have to be one of the few that had gotten off of the dropship, for the way leading to the group of four gave no cover from their weaponry.
He brought himself low to the ground and began moving toward the group of three, attempting to circle around and come up from behind them.

the seraphic squad lurched to cover! "sniper shots came from the west" called a troop. Kalek focused his mind, not to be wracked by the gunshots, expanded his aura to sense the surroundings picking up an aura from close by and a faint mass of aura's to the west. "We have another body just south, lets take defensive positions northwest of our location"
the squad retreated into the forest to a corridor of trees and the two soldiers watched east and west while Kalek scoped out for the source of the sniper

Randolph, on the roar of the wind, heard the sound of sniper rounds being unloaded.
"Hark!" He cried. "I hear the sounds of battle." He scratched his beard. "I wonder what might be the cause of that?"
His walk picked up speed into a run, finding himself eventually in a forest. Unfortunately, whatever beings were in combat here appeared to be hidden from vision. Randolph decided to break the ice.
"Hail, warriors!" Randolph hollered, with a large, omni-directional wave. "And how are we on this fine morrow?"
